REPORTS:

Treasurer: Robert Dunham read the treasurers report. We had a very successful Gem and Mineral show. About $7200 was brought in with approximately $4000 in expenses. 75% of the booths are reserved for next years show. We have $12,049 in checking account and $600 in Cash. The Annual Report has been filed and approved.

Membership: Daina Sandhop Total membership is now about 90. We signed up 19 new members at the Show. We will have a Membership Drive at Chloride Days, members are encouraged to come and support the club. Daina has a Lapidary Shop at her home and anyone is welcome to sign up for a class with her. She made a necklace from our Honey Onyx Mine for a drawing at our Show.

Membership Dues are due now:

Single $15, After July 1 $7.50 - Couples $20 After July 1 $10 - Family $25 After July 1-$12.50.

Secretary: Lynn Smith presented the Secretary report which was approved. This is provided on the Web page every month.

STUDY GROUP UPDATE/REPORT

Bob Petersen reminded members of the Mineral Study Group which will be at Ed’s place on May 21st at 6:30 pm

Gary Bolles reported that the Rockhound 101 meeting will be held at Calico Restaurant 3rd Monday of every month at 6 pm, starting back up in June. Call Gary for more information at 928-279-9741

FIELD TRIP COORDINATOR REPORT

Gary Bolles reported on a Field Trip to Burro Creek on Thursday, May 16th and on Saturday May 18th going to Pierce Ferry Landing. Another 4 day trip to Beaver, Ut is planned for May 24-27th. A Field Trip Meeting will be held on Thursday May 23rd at 2 PM at Daina’s place.

SHOW MEETING REPORT

Daina Sandhop reported that we had a very successful Mineral and Gem Show. Any pros and cons remarks on this years show are welcome, also any ideas for next years show are also appreciated.

A short break for refreshments, then Door Prize drawing and Silent Auction.

March 11, 2025
Meeting called to order 6:40 PM. Robert ran the meeting. We had 8 guests. Ron “The Snake Guy” presented a lecture on the snakes of Arizona. 47 
members were present. We have 121 members not counting show members. Meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM.
Study Group Update and Report

Field Trip Coordinator and report
Saturday April 12 2025 Honey Onyx work day. Equipment has been rented. Meet at Safeway on Gordon and Stockton Hill at 7:30 AM. Mile marker 12 on North Stockton Hill. 
Saturday April 19 2025 Connie’s Wash. Maverick 7:30 AM Andy Devine. 4 wheel drive recommended.
Show Meeting Report
Friday May 2 2025 8AM is set up at the Fairgrounds we must be finished by 4PM. Volunteers needed. Show is Saturday May 3, 2025 7 AM- 5PM. Sunday May 4 7AM to 4PM close then we take down. Jen’s concessions and Hillbilly Tea is our food venders. Volunteers are needed for Saturday and Sunday. 
Guest Lecture
Joel and Teena Sandler of Blue Spirit Copper Mine showed us how to get copper with a redux reaction. Any metal that is more reactive than copper, like a Brillo pad will become copper. We enjoyed the lecture and show.
